Bonsai as Second Parenthood

A long time ago, I read an article that said, “Bonsai is like a second round of parenting.”
It described how people who have finished raising their children often take up bonsai, nurturing each tiny tree as if it were a child all over again.
And I couldn’t agree more. Every day, we carefully check for signs of illness, provide the care it needs, and quietly watch its growth.
It’s a lot of work—but just like parenting, it’s deeply rewarding.
